It’s not exactly rocket science, it’s dead simple. A double 1 is out. Hitting double 1 to win is like tripping over the finish line of a race. Sure, you made it, but everyone’s too busy cringing to cheer.

X01

General term for dart matches that start with a score ending in “01” (like 301, 501, 701, etc.) and require you to work your way down to exactly zero. Or, as I like to call it: the classic “I’m-going-to-math-my-way-into-a-meltdown” game mode. It’s a race to zero, but with a side of calculator struggles, frustrated faces and the inevitable question: “Wait, what do I need to hit again?”
